JAKARTA - The Search and Rescue or SAR joint team found a victim swept away by waves on Cihara Beach, Lebak Regency, Banten in a dead state.

"The victim is known as Putra (22), a resident of Jalan Praja Dalam G1 RW 05, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta," said Basarnas Banten Operations and Standby Sub-Director Rizky Dwianto in Lebak, Sunday.

The joint SAR team managed to find the victim in a dead condition after conducting an intensive search for two days.

The victim had a maritime accident at Cihara Beach, Saturday (26/6) at 16.30 WIB, being dragged by the waves while swimming with his friend, Bilal (18).

However, Bilal managed to survive with the help of local coastal residents, but Putra disappeared.

Entering the second day of the SAR operation at 17.20 WIB, the victim was found dead at coordinates 6°50'47.16" LS and 106°04'09.22" BT, or about 200 meters from the scene

Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to the SAR Post and handed over to the family before being taken to Malingping Hospital for further treatment.

With the discovery of the victim, the SAR Operation for Dangerous Human Conditions was officially proposed to be closed.

All SAR elements involved were returned to their respective units.

The joint SAR team involved various elements, including the Lebak SAR Standby Unit, BPBD, PMI Cihara, Cihara District Pokdarwis Coordinator, Panggarangan-Cihara Police, Kodim Unit, and Cihara Village Government.

In its implementation, the SAR Team is supported by various equipment, such as Rescue Car, Rubber Boat, water SAR equipment, communication equipment, medical equipment, and other supporting equipment.
