Tebar Bahagia, 120 Children of the Poor Invited to Shop for Necessities at Green Pramuka Square

JAKARTA - Dompet Dhuafa again echoed social concern through the BesTeam (Bestian Sama Yatim) program. This time, the zakat agency collaborated with the Diponegoro 1 SMP-SMA-SMK education institution to hold the "Happy Shopping, Spread Happiness" action with 120 orphans at Lotte Mart, Green Pramuka Square Mall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (23/6/2026).

Unlike conventional compensation, hundreds of orphans are invited to directly choose and shop for their needs independently. This innovative step has the full support of the management of Green Pramuka Square Mall and Lotte Mart.

Real Form of School Environmental Care

The Director of Diponegoro School (SMP-SMA-SMK Diponegoro 1), Ir. H. Imam Parikesit, M.Ars., explained that this compensation activity is a routine annual agenda. However, if usually compensation is held in the school environment in a limited manner, this year is packaged differently to provide a more memorable experience for children.

"Today is an extraordinary moment. We collaborate with Dompet Dhuafa and Green Pramuka Square to pack the orphan compensation event into a memorable moment, both for children and our students. The goal is to instill values of concern in the school environment, from educators, students, to parents through committees," said Imam.

Imam added that the funds used for this social action were the result of the students' own efforts and initiatives. "This activity was initially started with the children's kenclengan (savings). From there we took the initiative to hold a positive collaboration with orphans around Perguruan Diponegoro," he added.

In order for the assistance to be targeted, the school collaborated with the Pulogadung Sub-district and Rawamangun Village Head, especially the PKK cadre, to list orphans in 15 RW in the Rawamangun Village area.

Appreciation from the Local Government

This real action was attended directly by a number of important figures, including the GM of the ZIS Dompet Dhuafa Association Ahmad Faqih S, Mall Green Pramuka Square Director Liza Monalisa, Pulogadung District Head Syafrudin Chandra AP, MPA, and Rawamangun Village Head Yola Dwiyenti S.STP, M.Si.

The Head of Pulogadung Sub-district, Syafrudin Chandra, gave high appreciation for this multi-party collaboration. He hopes that the steps of Perguruan Diponegoro 1 can be an inspiration for other educational institutions.

"Hopefully, Perguruan Diponegoro will be an example for other universities in spreading positive things in the surrounding environment. Thank you for your attention and support. We will support as much as possible for positive activities like this," said Syafrudin.

Encouraging the Community to Support the Resilience of Orphan Children

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the BesTeam Dompet Dhuafa Program Committee, Widodo, explained that this agenda is part of Dompet Dhuafa's ongoing commitment to honoring orphans.

"We hope that the community and other stakeholders can continue to support the various Dompet Dhuafa orphan programs. This is a bridge to build the resilience of orphan children so that they can be empowered and develop," explained Widodo.

Widodo also appealed to the public who knew that there were orphans in their surrounding areas who needed a helping hand not to hesitate to contact and coordinate with the Dompet Dhuafa.
