JAKARTA - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said US President Donald Trump must choose between an impossible war or a disadvantageous deal.

In a post on the US's social media platform, X, Sunday, the IRGC intelligence department said Tehran gave the US military a deadline to end the blockade of Iranian ports.

Iran also said Europe, China and Russia are now increasingly critical of Washington's policies.

"There is only one way to interpret this: Trump must choose between an impossible military operation or a bad deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The space for the US to make a decision is becoming narrower," according to the IRGC.

The US and Israel have launched attacks on Iran since February 28, triggering Iranian retaliation against Israel and American allies in the Gulf, along with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Since April 13, the United States has imposed a naval blockade targeting Iranian maritime traffic in the strategic waterway.

A two-week ceasefire was announced on April 8 through Pakistani mediation and followed by direct talks in Islamabad on April 11. However, no agreement was reached for a lasting ceasefire.

Trump then extended the ceasefire without setting a new deadline at the request of Pakistan.
