Jabodetabek Weather Monday, April 20 Cloudy, Rain in the Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Monday, April 20, 2026, will be dominated by cloudy conditions with the potential for light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening.

Referring to the BMKG weather pattern, Monday morning in most of the Jabodetabek area is generally cloudy to cloudy. Entering the afternoon and evening, the potential for rain begins to increase, especially in the Bogor, Depok, and some South Jakarta and Bekasi areas.

For the DKI Jakarta area, light rain is expected to occur unevenly in the afternoon to evening, while the buffer area has the potential to experience rain with higher intensity in some points. This pattern is in line with the atmospheric conditions which are still humid and support the formation of rain clouds.

In general, the air temperature in Jabodetabek ranges from 24 to 30 degrees Celsius with a high relative humidity level. These conditions also increase the chance of local rain in the afternoon and evening.

BMKG also reminded the public to be aware of the potential for rain that may be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in a number of areas, especially during the weather transition that is still ongoing.

The public is urged to prepare rain gear and remain alert to the possibility of flooding in vulnerable areas, especially when they are outside during the day and night.
