Kayuagung-Palembang Toll Gives 10 Percent Discount During Lebaran Return Flow

PALEMBANG - The manager of the Kayuagung-Palembang Toll Road, PT Waskita Sriwijaya Toll (WST), will impose a 10 percent discount on the toll rate on the road section during the Lebaran return flow, which is scheduled for March 28, 2026, to anticipate the accumulation of vehicles at the Kramasan Toll Gate.

Deputy Area Manager for Toll Road Transactions Kayuagung-Palembang Sumarno in Palembang, Thursday, said the policy was a strategy to distribute vehicle volumes so that they were not concentrated at a certain time.

"The toll road manager will re-impose a 10 percent discount on the tariff during the return flow, which is scheduled to fall on March 28. This program is expected to break down the accumulation of vehicles when people return," he said.

He explained that although the discount period during the Lebaran homecoming had ended on March 15-16, this return discount program is expected to be a stimulus for the public to plan a more comfortable trip home from their hometowns.

Regarding the peak of the homecoming flow on the toll road, it actually occurred earlier, namely on Tuesday (17/3), with a total of 18,500 vehicles passing. This condition is triggered by the shift in the holiday period for Nyepi Day.

The smooth flow of traffic at the Kramasan exit point has been maintained to date thanks to the integration of six toll gates, including the Kramasan Main Barrier Gate, Pemulutan, and access to Indralaya and Prabumulih.

"The distribution of vehicles to more gates is what keeps traffic at Kramasan maintained and does not experience severe congestion. We hope that the discount rate will also help smooth the critical points during the return flow," he explained.

Sumarno urged the public to plan their travel time well and take advantage of discount programs to avoid congestion during the Lebaran return flow.
