PLN IUD Jakarta Departs 142 Hikers, Electric Bus to be Tested in Arus Lebaran

JAKARTA - PLN UID Jakarta Raya released 142 travelers in the program of Safe Homecoming Sharing Hope 2026, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the PLN UID Jakarta Office. A total of five buses were dispatched to Wonosobo, Pacitan, Padang, and Bandung. One fleet to Bandung uses an electric bus. At this moment, PLN not only sends travelers, but also displays electric vehicle testing during the homecoming season, when safety and reliability aspects are in the spotlight.

General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya Moch. Andy Adchaminoerdin said that this program has been routinely held since 2018 as part of PLN's services to the community during Lebaran. According to Andy, this free homecoming is aimed at helping residents return home more safely and comfortably.

Andy Adcha added that PLN not only provides transportation facilities, but also ensures the reliability of electricity supply at all strategic points during the homecoming and Eid al-Fitr period.

This year is the sixth implementation of the PLN free homecoming program. The activity is also said to support collaboration between SOEs in providing safer public transportation for the community.

In addition to sending 142 people from Greater Jakarta, PLN as a whole supported the departure of 9,810 travelers in the Jakarta area. This number consists of 8,764 train passengers from Pasar Senen Station and 1,046 bus passengers from a number of points, including GBK, PLN UID Jakarta Raya Office, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Ministry of Manpower.

Each participant receives homecoming equipment in the form of a T-shirt, a folding bag, and accident insurance during the trip.

PLN also prepares electricity supply at departure points. At GBK, for example, a main supply of 1,250 kVA is provided which is strengthened by a 100 kVA UPS. Electrical reliability is also maintained at Pasar Senen Station, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Ministry of Manpower so that all series of activities run without interruption.
