JAKARTA - The Secretary of the National Border Management Agency (BNPP) RI, Inspector General Makhruzi Rahman, has again conducted an inspection of the area affected by flash floods in Landuh Village, Aceh Tamiang Regency.

During the review, the Secretary of the BNPP RI was accompanied by the BNPP RI Expert Group, Nur Kholis, as part of efforts to strengthen analysis and accelerate post-disaster recovery steps in the field on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

The review was carried out to ensure that the acceleration of mud and garbage material cleaning after the disaster was optimal, so that community activities and mobility could recover immediately.

"We hope that before Eid al-Fitr, most of the mud and garbage can be cleaned so that people's mobility can run smoothly again. After that, the cleaning will continue to other villages that are also affected," said Komjen Makhruzi, Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

He explained that his return to Aceh was a direct assignment of the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian as the Head of the BNPP RI. The assignment is aimed at accelerating the recovery process of areas affected by flash floods in Aceh Province.

"I was entrusted directly by the Minister of Home Affairs as the Head of the Indonesian National Police to accelerate the recovery of flood-affected areas in Aceh by deploying heavy equipment in the form of excavators and dump trucks to clean up the mud material that closed the road access," he said.

Komjen Makhruzi revealed that the cleaning efforts were focused on three affected districts, namely Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, and Aceh Tamiang. Specifically in Aceh Tamiang, the cleaning activities were concentrated in Landuh Village with a target completion of 14 days.

"There are three districts that we are dealing with in Aceh Province, namely Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, and Aceh Tamiang. From Aceh Tamiang, we will then check to Bireuen," he said.

During the review, the Secretary of the Indonesian BNPP was also accompanied by the Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Drs. Syuibun Anwar. The local government also expressed its appreciation for the quick steps and concern of the BNPP RI in helping disaster-affected communities.

"The Aceh Tamiang Regency Government expresses its deepest thanks and appreciation to BNPP RI and the entourage who have come down to directly help the community, especially in cleaning the Landuh Village area affected by the flood," said Syuibun.

The inspection activity was closed with the handover of heavy equipment support to accelerate the cleaning process in the affected areas.

Through this sustainable step, BNPP RI emphasizes its commitment to continue to be present in the community, ensuring that post-disaster recovery is fast, humanistic, and has a real impact on the people of Aceh, especially ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
