JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung distributed food packages through the cheap redemption program to residents at the Ciganjur Residents Hall, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

In this activity, as many as 500 food packages were prepared for residents. Each package contains five kilograms of rice, two liters of cooking oil, one kilogram of flour, and one kilogram of granulated sugar.

The basic needs package is not distributed for free, but can be redeemed by residents at a lower price than the market price.

"All of these packages can be redeemed by the public at a price of Rp. 100,000. We are doing this program as a form of concern and sharing efforts with the public so that basic needs are easier for residents to reach," said Pramono, Thursday, February 5.

Pramono explained that this cheap redemption program is the result of cooperation between Perumda Pasar Jaya and the Prakarsa Warga community.

The community is a gathering of residents who have the initiative to support inclusive development in the community. One of its activities is to establish a community hall that can be used for various community activities as well as being a partner of the local government.

In addition to distributing food packages, during the activity, free reading glasses were also distributed to residents.

According to Pramono, reading glasses are quite needed by the community, especially for the elderly who are starting to experience a decrease in vision.

"I have tried it myself. At my current age of 62, it turns out to be very useful," he said.
