JAKARTA - US military forces managed to destroy command posts of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as well as Iranian air defense and missile launch sites, in the Middle East war that erupted last weekend, the US Central Command (US CENTCOM) said on Tuesday.
"US forces have destroyed the command and control facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields during ongoing operations," US CENTCOM said in a post on social media X, reported Al Arabiya (3/3).
It is known that the US and Iran held "Operation Epic Furry" version of Washington or "Operation Roaring Lion" version of Tel Aviv on Saturday, quoted from ABC.
The attack left hundreds of people dead in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of senior Tehran officials.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society said at least 555 people had died across Iran. However, in its latest update, the Norwegian-based human rights group, Hengaw, said the death toll on the third day had reached at least 1,500, including 200 civilians and 1,300 members of the Iranian forces, as quoted by The Guardian.
Hengaw said it was concerned about the increasing number of civilian deaths, with the highest number of civilian casualties recorded in Hormozgan Province in southern Iran, after a missile attack on a girls' primary school in Minab over the weekend, which reportedly killed more than 150 people, including children.
Iran has fired missiles at Israel, at US bases around the region and also at targets in regional Arab countries - Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates - something President Trump has called a "major surprise."
Citing CBS News, the US military on Monday said the death toll of its soldiers in the latest conflict with Iran had reached six.
