PALEMBANG - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) requires all Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to use social media as a platform for public education regarding balanced nutrition and healthy eating patterns.

The Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Sony Sanjaya, in Palembang, Saturday, said this policy was implemented as part of efforts to expand community nutrition literacy and strengthen program transparency at the regional level.

He said social media has a wide and effective reach to convey accurate, fast, and easy-to-understand information to the public.

"SPPG in all regions is asked to actively utilize digital platforms to provide sustainable and data-based education. Like today's Free Nutritious Meal menu, what will be distributed to schools so that the public can know," he said as quoted by Antara.

According to him, the use of social media is not only limited to publishing activities, but must also contain educational content such as balanced nutrition guidelines, the importance of protein consumption.
