Temporarily Disabled, Sahroni Returns to the Chair of Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad chaired a meeting to determine the formation of the leadership of Commission III of the House of Representatives in the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, February 19. In the meeting, Ahmad Sahroni was again appointed as Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives from the NasDem Party Faction.

Previously, Ahmad Sahroni had been deactivated from his position as Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The deactivation was carried out by the NasDem Party Faction following the internal dynamics of the faction and the adjustment of the composition of the leadership of the council's equipment. In addition, Sahroni was also inaugurated as Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives so that it was necessary to rearrange the position in accordance with the DPR's rules of procedure regarding the duplication of positions.

With this latest appointment, Sahroni again entered the leadership structure of Commission III according to the composition that had been agreed upon by the factions.

"In accordance with the provisions of the DPR RI Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning the Rules of Procedure, that the commission leadership is a collective collective leadership unit consisting of one chairman and a maximum of four vice chairmen who are elected from and by commission members in one commission meeting led by the DPR leadership after making the composition and personnel of the membership of the factions in the council's equipment," said Dasco.

He explained, based on the consultation meeting of the leadership of the DPR and the leadership of the factions on October 21, 2024, the composition of the leadership of Commission III of the DPR RI has been determined consisting of the Chairman of the Gerindra Party Faction and four vice chairmen each from the PDI Perjuangan Faction, the Golkar Party Faction, the NasDem Party Faction, and the National Awakening Party Faction.

"Can the names I will read be approved to become the head of Commission III of the DPR RI?" said Dasco.

The composition of the leadership of Commission III of the DPR RI which deals with law is Habiburokhman from the Gerindra Party Faction as Chairman, Dede Indra Permana Soediro from the PDI Perjuangan Faction as Deputy Chairman, Sari Yuliati from the Golkar Party Faction as Deputy Chairman, Ahmad Sahroni from the NasDem Party Faction as Deputy Chairman, and Rano Alfath from the National Awakening Party Faction as Deputy Chairman.

"Can this leadership of Commission III be approved?" asked Dasco, who was then greeted with the approval of the participants in the meeting accompanied by the sound of a hammer.

"Thank you. Thus, the leadership of Commission III of the DPR RI has been officially determined. I congratulate the leaders who have just been appointed, may they be able to carry out their duties as well as possible," concluded Dasco.
