JAKARTA - The code of ethics examination for the inactive Bima City Police Chief, AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro (DPK), is planned to be held on Thursday (19/2) following the designation of the person concerned as a suspect in alleged drug possession.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General of Police Johnny Eddizon Isir, in Jakarta, Sunday, said that the ethics trial would be held at the Bureau of Professional Accountability at the National Police Professional and Security Division.

"Later we will update (announce) the results of the code of ethics hearing against AKBP DPK. The implementation of the hearing will be held at the Wabprof Divpropam Polri. It is planned for Thursday, February 19, 2026," he said.

He explained that AKBP Didik had been named a suspect and was charged with Article 609 paragraph (2) letter a of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 concerning Criminal Adjustment and Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropic Substances.

AKBP Didik is threatened with life imprisonment or a maximum prison sentence of 20 years and/or a maximum fine of Rp. 2 billion and a maximum prison sentence of five years and a maximum fine of Rp. 200 million.

"Currently, AKBP DPK has not been detained by the Directorate IV of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police because the person concerned is still undergoing special placement by the National Police's Divpropam related to the code of ethics process which is still in the further process," said Johnny.
