Prabowo's message to BI Deputy Governor Thomas Djiwandono

JAKARTA - Secretary of State Minister Prasetyo Hadi conveyed the President's message to Thomas Djiwandono who was sworn in today in front of Chief Justice Sunarto today as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia at the Supreme Court building.

According to Prasetyo, the President asked the former Deputy Minister of Finance to work for the interests of the nation and state, for the Red and White, and for the people. The President, said Prasetyo, emphasized that every task should be carried out with a sense of love for the country.

Prasetyo also expressed his gratitude for Thomas' dedication and said that the trust that was carried out was not a light job. "Good luck," he said, Monday, February 9.

At the same time, Prasetyo emphasized that the process of determining the leadership of OJK had not entered the stage of sending names to the DPR. "Not yet, not yet," he said.

He said the plan would be seen in time because it concerned acceleration, but still had to maintain authority - the selection committee that had the authority to submit was the President.

Prasetyo also responded to questions about rating agencies asking the government to keep spending so as not to violate the fiscal deficit.

He stated that there were no restrictions violated and the deficit was still maintained. The government, he said, focused on strengthening economic fundamentals, encouraging the real sector, and maximizing government spending at the beginning of the year, while continuing to communicate.
