JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to open the 2026 National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Central and Regional Governments, which is held by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Monday, February 2 at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java.

Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, explained that the 2026 Rakornas aims to provide guidance to all regional heads together with the elements of the regional leadership coordination forum (forkopimda) and other stakeholders. This forum is directed to support the implementation of the presidential priority program towards Indonesia's Gold 2045.

"This Rakornas aims to accelerate the success of the president's priority programs, especially in realizing food and energy sovereignty, as well as building a productive and inclusive economy with an economic growth target of 8%," said Benni in a written statement in Jakarta, Sunday, February 1.

In addition to opening the event, President Prabowo is also scheduled to deliver strategic directions to participants of the rakornas. On this occasion, the president will explain the evaluation of government performance throughout 2025 as well as strategies to improve government performance in 2026.

The 2026 Central and Regional Government Rakornas is one of the steps of the Ministry of Home Affairs in strengthening the synergy between the central and regional governments. Regional heads and forkopimda are considered to have a strategic role as a driving force for the implementation of government, community empowerment, and development in the region.

Therefore, this forum is expected to be able to build a common understanding, strengthen coordination, and align policies between the center and the regions.

In this rakornas, the Ministry of Home Affairs will present the Red and White Cabinet, ranging from coordinating ministers, ministers, to heads of state institutions, including elements of the TNI and Polri as sources in several thematic sessions.

Each session will discuss various strategic issues, such as the synergy of economic and energy policies, sustainable food sovereignty, and other national development challenges.
