Paripurna Names Sari Yuliati as Deputy Speaker of the DPR to Replace Adies Kadir

JAKARTA - The DPR Plenary Meeting appointed Sari Yuliati as Deputy Speaker of the DPR to replace Adies Kadir who was approved as a candidate for the Constitutional Court (MK). Sari Yuliati was previously the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, who also served as the General Treasurer of the DPP of the Golkar Party.

"Furthermore, the letter from the DPP of the Golkar Party also conveyed the proposal to replace the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI from the Golkar Party Faction, from brother Adies Kadir to sister Sari Yuliati with member number A341," said Deputy Speaker of the DPR Saan Mustopa as the chairman of the plenary meeting held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 27.

Saan said, according to article 47 of the DPR RI regulation on the rules of procedure, paragraph 3, the leadership of political parties through the faction as referred to in paragraph 2 convey the name of the replacement for the chairman or deputy chairman of the DPR to the leadership of the DPR.

Then, paragraph 4, the DPR leadership conveyed the name of the replacement for the chairman and or deputy chairman of the DPR as referred to in paragraph 3 in the plenary meeting to be determined.

"In connection with this, we asked the honorable council meeting, regarding Sari Yuliati with member number A341, to be appointed as deputy speaker of the DPR RI, can it be approved?" said Saan, followed by the approval hammer.

Previously, the DPR's plenary meeting had also approved Adies Kadir as a candidate for the Constitutional Court judge proposed by the DPR RI. Currently, Adies Kadir is still active as Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI for Economic and Financial Affairs.

The approval was taken in a plenary meeting chaired by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Saan Mustopa accompanied by Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, after listening to the report of the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman.

"Furthermore, we asked the honorable council session about the report of Commission III on the proposal for a replacement of constitutional judges at the Constitutional Court from the proposal of the DPR RI institution, which approved brother Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Adies Kadir SH, Mhum as a constitutional judge at the constitutional court. the DPR RI proposal at the same time revoking the DPR RI decision number 11/DPR/1/2025-2026 regarding the DPR's approval of the replacement of constitutional judges at the constitutional court from the DPR institution. Can it be approved," said Saan Mustopa.

All participants present at the meeting also expressed their approval of Adies to become a candidate for Constitutional Court judge to replace Inosentius Samsul.
