BATAM - The Professional and Security Division (Div Propam) which is headquartered at the National Police Headquarters rejected the appeal for a sanction of dismissal without honor (PTDH) which was submitted by the former Head of Narcotics Police, Polresta Barelang, Kompol Satria Nanda.

Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Police, Kombes Eddwi Kurniyanto, said his party had received a copy of the decision to reject the appeal of Kompol Satria Nanda from the National Police Headquarters' Public Relations Division two weeks ago.

"The appeal of Kompol Satria Nanda has been rejected by the National Police Headquarters," said Eddwi as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 14.

According to Eddwi, with the rejection of the appeal, the status of Kompol Satria Nanda was officially inactive or dismissed from the Polri institution.

"It is official at PTDH," he said.

Kompol Satria Nanda was sentenced to a PTDH sanction in a January 2025 hearing of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).

He was given a PTDH sanction along with nine other former members of the Barelang Police Narcotics Unit.

However, the PTDH's decision on Satria Nanda has not been appealed until the life sentence at the Batam District Court in June 2025, because the person concerned appealed to the KKEP Police Appeal Commission.

The appeal of Kompol Satria Nanda was processed by the National Police Headquarters according to his rank as a mid-level police officer.

Kompol Satria Nanda was sentenced to PTDH sanctions for the case of disposal of drug evidence involving nine members of the Barelang Police Narcotics Unit.

In the process of his appeal, Kompol Satria Nanda appealed the decision of the Batam District Court which sentenced him to life imprisonment, or lighter than the JPU's demand.

At the level of the High Court of Kepri, the decision of Kompol Satria Nanda was aggravated to the death penalty in August 2025.

Then, his legal team appealed to the Supreme Court and was sentenced to life imprisonment in October 2025.

Until now, Kompol Satria Nanda is still being detained at the Batam Class IIA Detention Center awaiting execution after a copy of the Supreme Court cassation verdict was received from the Batam PN.
