SURABAYA - The East Java Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) targets 100 seats in the district/city DPRD and eight seats in the East Java Provincial DPRD in the 2029 General Election (Pemilu).
PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep said the target was part of PSI's electoral strengthening strategy in East Java, along with a thorough improvement of the party's management structure down to the lowest level.
"PSI's target in East Java is 100 seats for the district/city DPRD and eight seats for the provincial DPRD," said Kaesang after appointing the PSI East Java DPW management in Surabaya, Friday, January 9.
Kaesang explained, currently PSI is focused on consolidating the organization by accelerating the filling of the management structure.

The inauguration of the board of directors was also attended by the PSI regional board members throughout East Java as well as the PSI Central Leadership Council (DPP) board members.
In the activity, Kaesang was accompanied by a number of DPP PSI leaders, including the Deputy Chairman of the PSI Board of Trustees and former General Chairman, Grace Natalie.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the East Java PSI DPW Bagus Panuntun expressed optimism that the target for obtaining seats could be achieved in the 2029 Election.
