SERANG - The Serang City Government (Pemkot), Banten, is preparing an evaluation meeting regarding cooperation in waste management with the South Tangerang City (Tangsel) after absorbing various aspirations from the community.

Deputy Mayor of Serang, Nur Agis Aulia said, the activity of receiving waste from Banten was temporarily stopped while waiting for the results of a thorough evaluation and leadership direction.

"Yesterday, we just absorbed the aspirations of the citizens, later we will meet again. There is no evaluation result because we just absorbed the aspirations," he said in Serang City, Antara, Thursday, January 8.

Agis explained that this step was taken after there were inputs that developed in the community during the previous meeting. His party is committed to formulating policies that are a middle solution or win-win solution for the government and affected residents.

Currently, he continued, the decision to continue the cooperation is still awaiting further instructions from the regional head.

"But what is certain is that we have absorbed the aspirations, there should be a win-win solution and we are waiting for directions from the Mayor of Serang," he said.

Even though the shipment of waste from Banten was temporarily stopped, Agis ensured that the cooperation in waste disposal from the Regency Government (Pemkab) of Serang to TPSA Cilowong continued to run normally and did not encounter obstacles.

"If the waste from the regency has been running, smoothly, there are no obstacles, it is safe," concluded Agis.
