The Deadline is Getting Closer, the Ministry of Religion Ensures that the Special Haji PK will be Completed This Week

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Hajj (Kemenhaj) reiterated its commitment to completing all processes for the payment of costs and the issuance of the Special Hajj Financial Return (PK). This step was taken to ensure that all stages are completed before the deadline set by the Saudi Government.

Director General of Hajj Services, Ian Heriyawan, stated that this administrative acceleration is crucial so as not to hinder the service contracts prepared by the Special Hajj Service Provider (PIHK) in the holy land.

System and Regulation Synchronization is a Priority

Responding to the issue of the PK funds not being disbursed for some pilgrims, Ian explained that there was a process of adjustment to the technical system and regulations. He admitted that there were obstacles (bottleneck) but was optimistic that the problem would be resolved soon.

"There are still adjustments to the system and regulations. God willing, all adjustments can be completed this week," said Ian in a press statement received by VOI on Friday, January 2.

Quota Mitigation: Reserve Added to 100%

In order to anticipate the risk of the Special Hajj quota that is not absorbed optimally, the Ministry of Religion has prepared strategic mitigation steps. One of them is by doubling the number of reserve pilgrims.

Old Policy: Reserves only 50 percent. New Policy: Reserves are increased to 100 percent.

This reserve is taken from pilgrims with the departure number for the following year to ensure that this year's quota is still optimally met.

Emergency and Payment Policy on Weekends

Considering the deadline for payment of the service contract in Saudi Arabia falls on January 4 to February 1, 2026, the Ministry of Manpower is studying the application of the discretionary policy.

"We are preparing emergency policies, including opening access to payment of installments on Saturdays and Sundays," added Ian. This is done to give PIHK and worshipers more room to maneuver in completing their financial obligations.

Guarantee of Protection of the Community

For pilgrims who have made a payment but are hampered by problems with quota absorption, the Ministry of Religion provides protection guarantees. The government will prioritize the acceleration of the PK process so as not to interfere with the operations of the PIHK in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Religion ensures that intensive coordination with all stakeholders will continue to be carried out for the smooth implementation of the Special Hajj, orderly, and provides legal certainty for all prospective guests of God.
