"The local government is concerned about this disaster. For the financing of all patients due to this incident, everything is covered by the local government," said Dony in Sumedang, Antara, Tuesday, December 23.

He explained that so far more than 100 students have had to receive medical treatment at a number of health facilities after consuming food from a donor in a pesantren activity.

The condition of the victims continues to show positive developments and in general have experienced significant recovery.

He also appealed to the management of educational institutions, including pesantren, to be more selective and vigilant in accepting food assistance from outside parties.

"This incident is a lesson for all of us. It is important to always check the type and suitability of food consumed in the pesantren environment so that similar incidents do not happen again," he said.
