Tri Taruna is a suspect along with Albertinus P. Napitulu who is the Head of the North Hulu Sungai (Kajari) District Attorney's Office (Kajari) and Asis Budianto as the Kasintel of the North Hulu Sungai District Attorney's Office.

Albertinus and his two subordinates are suspected of extortion. He received money through intermediaries, namely Tri Taruna and Asis Budianto while serving with a value of up to Rp804 million.
