TAPIN - The Tapin Regency Health Office (Dinkes), South Kalimantan, has completed two stages of medical check-ups (medical check-up/MCU) for 250 prospective pilgrims as a basis for assessing physical ability before departure to Saudi Arabia in the 2026 Hajj season.
The head of the Tapin Health Office, Noor Ifansyah, in Tapin, Saturday, said that MCU is an important instrument for mapping the health risks of pilgrims early on, so that handling can be more targeted at the basic service level.
"The first phase of the MCU was carried out from October 28 to November 3, 2025 with 113 prospective pilgrims, while the second phase was from December 2-11, 2025, followed by 137 prospective pilgrims," he said.
He said that all examinations were carried out at the Datu Sanggul Rantau Hospital, and the results of the examination were then handed over to the health center for follow-up if certain conditions were found that required monitoring or further therapy.
"There are six health centers that handle the follow-up health of prospective pilgrims, namely Tapin Utara, Binuang, Banua Padang, Baringin, Lokpaikat, and Tambarangan Health Centers," said Ifansyah.
He said the data from the examination and follow-up results were entered through the health center into the Integrated Hajj Computerization System (Siskohaj), so that the health status of prospective pilgrims could be monitored continuously.
"After the completion of the two stages of the MCU, the Tapin Health Office is now waiting for the finalization of departure data from the Ministry of Religion as the basis for entering the next stage of health training for prospective pilgrims in 2026," said Ifansyah.
