JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) confirms that incentives worth IDR 6 million per day for the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program kitchen will be cut if the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) facility does not meet the established standards.

Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, explained that the incentives are compensation for the preparedness of proper kitchen facilities and meet food safety standards. Incentives are not calculated based on the amount of portion produced every day.

"The incentive for SPPG facilities of Rp. 6 million per day is fixed payment as compensation for the availability of facilities that meet BGN standards. If it turns out that your kitchen does not meet the standards or values are low, the incentives for facilities will be cut," said Nanik in the Coordination and Evaluation of the BGN Program at the Aston Cirebon Hotel, West Java, Sunday, December 7.

Nanik acknowledged that there were protests from partners and foundations that felt they were being treated unfairly, especially from kitchen managers who had built larger facilities in the early stages of the program. They feel that the efforts that have been made are not comparable to the new kitchens that are smaller in size.

However, he emphasized that BGN would stick to the principle of justice. The kitchen standard assessment will be carried out by an independent appraisal team.

"The appraisal team will judge your kitchens fairly. Don't be careless. You have received an incentive of Rp. 6 million per day, how come you are slow. Blender is damaged and doesn't want to be replaced, finally the joint staff buy a blender," he reminded.

BGN emphasized that every SPPG must comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure food safety. In addition, the MBG kitchen must have:

Certificates Like Hygiene Sanitation (SLHS)

Wastewater Management Installation (IPAL)

Halal Certificate

Volunteers who have attended the training of food suppliers

In Cirebon City, of the 21 SPPGs operating, 15 have SLHS, 11 are in the process of submitting, and 2 have not submitted. Meanwhile, in Cirebon Regency, of the 139 SPPGs, 106 have SLHS, 24 are still undergoing the test process, and 9 have not submitted.

Nanik appreciated the policy of the Regional Secretary of Cirebon City, Sumanto, and the Head of the Food Security Service, Wati Prihastuti, which prohibited the distribution of MBG to pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers if the SPPG did not yet have SLHS.

That's a good rule. I agree with that rule. Including the food rapid test training plan from the Food Security Service," he said.

Director of the Nutrition Fulfillment System at the Deputy for Systems and Governance of BGN, Eny Indarti, added that the provision of incentives of IDR 6 million per day is valid for only the first two years and will be evaluated further.
