JAKARTA - Jalan RE Martadinata, to be precise in front of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta, was flooded with tidal waves on Wednesday morning, November 3, 2025.

"There is a flood inundation on Jalan RE Martadinata as high as 10 centimeters," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BPBD, Mohamad Yohan.

Yohan said the inundation had occurred since 08.30 WIB. Until now, the flood inundation is still at that location.

Yohan admitted that his party collaborated with the Water Resources and PPSU Sub-districts of Papanggo regarding tidal flooding.

"So far, the traffic flow in the area has been running safely and smoothly until the flood receded," he said.

Meanwhile, the water level (TMA) status in the Fish Market reached 248 centimeters and rose to 250 centimeters at 09.00 WIB with Alert 2 status.

Previously, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency issued an early warning of tidal flooding which is predicted to occur from December 1 to December 8, 2025 due to the phenomenon of maximum tide of sea water along with the phenomenon of the Full Moon and Perigee (Supermoon) phase which has the potential to increase the maximum sea level in the form of coastal flooding or tidal flooding in a number of coastal areas north of Jakarta.

This tidal flood is predicted to hit the Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, and Kamal areas. Then the Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, Muara Angke, Tanjung Priok, and Kepulauan Seribu areas.
