JAKARTA - Dewi Astutik alias Mami, an international fugitive and intellectual actor for smuggling 2 tons of crystal methamphetamine from the Golden Triangle network, was arrested by the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN RI) in Sihanoukville, Cambodia.

The international fugitive was arrested by the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency in collaboration with the Cambodian Police, the Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh, the Indonesian Defense Attache in Cambodia, and the TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS).

From the records of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN RI), Dewi is the main actor in smuggling 2 tons of methamphetamine from the Golden Triangle network which was thwarted in May 2025 and several major cases in 2024 related to the Golden Crescent network.

Dewi Astutik's arrest was carried out through a cross-border silent operation led by the Director of BNN Enforcement and Pursuit, Roy Hardi Siahaan, Tuesday, December 2.

This operation is a direct follow-up to the order of the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency, Suyudi Ario Seto, who a month earlier instructed the formation of a special team to carry out international pursuit operations.

Dewi Astutik, who is also a South Korean fugitive, was arrested while heading to the lobby of a hotel in Sihanoukville.

"The operation took place quickly, precision, and without causing public disturbances," said Director of BNN Enforcement and Pursuit, Roy Hardi Siahaan, Tuesday, December 2.

After being secured, Dewi was transferred to Phnom Penh for the process of identity verification and official submission between authorities.

After arriving in Indonesia, Dewi Astutik will undergo an intensive examination to reveal the flow of funding, logistics, and parties involved in international networks operating to a number of countries.

"These networks are known to be active in the collection and distribution of narcotics of various types, including cocaine, methamphetamine, to East Asia and Southeast Asia," he said.

BNN insists that enforcement does not stop at arrests, but will continue on dismantling the entire network structure that has been operating massively and organized.

This operation received full support from the Indonesian Defense Attache in Cambodia and BAIS TNI which played an important role in mapping cross-border movements and regional coordination.
