JAKARTA - An honorary teacher with the initials W (48) was found dead hanging himself in the teacher room of Syahid II Junior High School, Jalan Baru Gang 2 Dalam, Cilincing Village, Cilincing District, North Jakarta, Monday, December 1, 2025.

The incident occurred on Monday morning at around 07.00 WIB. The victim is a casual daily teacher or honorary at the school.

The discovery of the body was first discovered by the school janitor, Rika Aryani.

At that time, witness Rika was opening the teacher's room at around 06.15 WIB. He then called local residents to confirm the condition of the victim.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Fauzan Yonnadi said the police immediately processed the crime scene (TKP), examined witnesses, and secured the school area.

The North Jakarta Metro Police Identification Team was also involved to carry out an initial examination.

"Based on the interim examination, there are signs that lead to the alleged death from hanging. However, the exact cause of death can only be concluded after the autopsy process is complete," said AKP Fauzan.

According to witness testimony, the victim was previously known to have come to school on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at around 15.30 WIB.

Then the victim was not seen coming out until he was finally found the next day.

Police are still investigating the background and motives of the victims before this incident occurred.

"The body has been taken to the RSCM for further investigation," he said.

The police appealed to the public not to speculate and wait for the results of the official investigation. Meanwhile, the case is still being handled by the Cilincing Police.
