The Sound Of The Alarm SOUNDed At The Cipinang Penitentiary Before The Fire Spread

The fire alarm at Pengayoman Hospital or Cipinang Penitentiary, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, was said to have sounded during a fire on Monday, December 1, 2025 at around 07.10 WIB.

"At the time of the incident there was an alarm sign which was one of the markers or information for all officers," said the Public Relations and Protocol Coordinator of the Directorate General of Corrections Rika Aprianti when confirmed.

When the alarm sounded, the officer on guard at the Cipinang Penitentiary at the time of the fire then reported it to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.

"At that time, the officers from Pengayoman Hospital coordinated with the firefighters and finally at around 07.40 the fire had been resolved," he said.

Meanwhile, although the fire was successfully extinguished by firefighters, the cooling process was still ongoing at the location of the fire.

"Currently, it is still in the process of recovering. Please pray for conditions to recover as before. There are 28 patients who are there and have been evacuated," he said.
