Bada PDIP Sends Certified Volunteers To Help Disaster Victims On The Island Of Sumatra

The PDI-P Disaster Management Agency (Baguna) sent a team of Basarnas certified volunteers to Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

They were assigned directly by the Chairperson of the PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri to help victims of landslides and floods.

"The Chairperson of the PDI-P, Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, ordered the PDI-P Agency Team to help disaster victims in three provinces."

"This PDIP Balau Volunteer has been trained and received a Basarnas certificate," said the Head of the PDIP DPP Disaster Management Division, Tri Rismaharini, in a written statement quoted on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Risma said PDIP paid attention to floods and landslides on the island of Sumatra. Thus, the party bearing the bull symbol through the PDIP Agency sent a team of volunteers and assistance.

"For the sake of humanity, we are always alert. In fact, we are ready to do everything we can to help the government and the people," former Minister of Social Affairs of the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

In addition, PDIP continues to collect and distribute aid to people in need. In Aceh, for example, the local PDI-P DPD has carried out collection and distribution of donations to disaster victims.

"We express our condolences to the families of the victims who died as a result of the disaster. I hope this will be our reflection in the future, especially in terms of maintaining and preserving the environment."
