Prabowo Orders Members Of Quick Response To Disaster Management To Distribute Aid

Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya said President Prabowo Subianto instructed all sectors to move quickly in response to disaster-affected victims and aid to disaster areas in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

"One of the important points of discussion is the President's instruction that all sectors continue to move quickly in evacuating disaster-affected victims in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra and ensuring continuous assistance is sent to the deepest locations," Teddy said in a meeting with 20 members of the Red and White Cabinet at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, November 27 reported by ANTARA.

Secretary Teddy said the President had ordered the TNI Commander, National Police Chief, Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Head of Basarnas, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, as well as the TNI-Polri medical and health team to continue to be deployed in handling the disaster.

On the night of the disaster in Tapanuli, the President immediately contacted the Head of BNPB and the Head of Basarnas, along with a team to immediately go to the location for a quick evacuation.

The President also ordered the use of weather modification technology to reduce rainfall.

"Coordinating Minister for PMK Pratikno, as the coordinator, was assigned by the President to continue to monitor and coordinate the evacuation process and the handling of the affected victims," said Teddy.

In the limited meeting, President Prabowo also discussed a number of things, including economic stimulus and readiness to face Christmas 2025 and the new year 2026 throughout Indonesia.
