The Attorney General's Office Has Not Confirmed The News Of The Revocation Of The Examination Of Djarum Boss Victor Rachmat Hartono

The Indonesian Attorney General's Office (AGO) has not been able to confirm the news of the revocation of the prevention of traveling abroad against a person named Djarum Boss Victor Rachmat Hartono or Victor Hartono, in the 2016-2020 tax payment obligation manipulation case.

Head of the Legal Information Center (Puspenkum) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Anang Supriatna, confirmed that he was still waiting for internal confirmation.

"I'll check it first. I still don't know for sure," he told the media at the AGO.

In addition, Anang revealed the progress of the examination of two witnesses in the investigation related to the case. The first witness with the initials SU, who once served as an expert staff of the Ministry of Finance and also a former director general. Meanwhile, the second witness with the initials BP, who is one of the heads of related agencies.

According to Anang, the examination was carried out to explore the knowledge of witnesses according to their position during that period.

"The examination was carried out in accordance with the position in question at that time, from 2016 to 2020. The capacity of knowledge is related to what was known or carried out at that time. And until now the person concerned is only a witness," he said.

Regarding the information that one of the witnesses with the initials BJNP or BNP was included in the list of prevention abroad, Kapuspenkum stated that he could not confirm.

"I don't know if he was prevented or not. What is clear is that the investigative team confirmed that there were several precautions against several parties related to this case whose statements were needed as witnesses," he concluded.
