Boks Car Driver And Kernet Beaten And Extorted By Thugs Grogol Petamburan

JAKARTA - The driver and assistant of the box car were victims of beatings and extortion on Jalan Pangeran Tubagus Angke, Wijaya Kusuma, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta.

According to Pamapta 1 West Jakarta Metro Police, Ipda M. Nico Saputra, the incident began when a box car with police number B 9906 TCL driven by the victim broke down on Livestock 3 Street, Kapuk, Cengkareng.

"The driver then asked for help from several local youths to encourage vehicles not to interfere with traffic flow," said Ipda Nico when confirmed, Monday, November 24, 2025.

After the vehicle was successfully moved, the driver gave Rp. 20,000 as a form of gratitude.

However, two youths whose identities were not known felt they did not accept the amount and demanded additional.

"Two young men whose identities are not known feel they do not accept this number and demand additional," he said.

Because the additional request was not fulfilled, the driver and assistant were told to get out of the car. The perpetrator immediately hit kenek in the face.

Not only that, but kenek was also threatened with being stabbed by the two perpetrators. Feeling threatened, both of them fled and went straight to the West Jakarta Metro Police.

The two victims then reported the incident to the police. After receiving the report, members of the West Jakarta Metro Police Samapta then moved quickly to conduct an investigation and managed to secure two perpetrators for further investigation.

"The victim has agreed to resolve it peacefully and not proceed to the legal process," he said.

In handling this case, the police facilitated the restorative justice process. The victim stated that he was willing to forgive the perpetrators and did not continue the case to the legal process.
