JAKARTA - The Pasaman SAR team, West Sumatra, managed to find six fishermen who were reported missing safely in the waters of Pangkal Air Bangis Island, Sungai Beremas District.

SAR Post Coordinator Pasaman Novi Yurandi said the sixnelayans using KM Primadona were found at Pantau Sikabau with a distance from the missing location of about 10.43 kilometers and were immediately evacuated to Muara Padang Air Bangis.

"At around 15.05 WIB, the SAR Team arrived at the Air Bangis pier and the fishermen were evacuated to the Air Bangis Health Center for further treatment," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 21.

According to him, the six fishermen who survived consisted of four residents of Air Bangis, Sungai Beremas District, namely Zulfikar (52), Akmal Daui (40), Mario (36), Andika Putra (26), and two residents of Sibolga, North Sumatra, namely Roni Simbolon (47) and Erbet Simbolon (51).

"The personnel involved in the search were TIN 02 Padang with six people, SAR Pasang five people, Airud eight people, Navy Post five people, volunteers four people, and fishermen 30 people," he said.

He explained that the incident began on Thursday (20/11) at 06.30 WIB of the Primadona fishing boat with six passengers departing from Tanahmasa Island Nias to Air Bangis, West Pasaman Regency.

It is estimated that it will arrive at Air Bangis at 12.00 WIB, but the ship did not arrive and the last contact was at 09.00 WIB.

"On Friday (21/11) at around 06.30 WIB we headed to the location by ship RIB 03 with six officers and added other personnel," he said.

After conducting a sweep, at 13.55 WIB the team found the missing fisherman who was safe.

"Currently, the SAR Team has returned to their respective posts," he said.
