JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is sad about the corruption case of PT Taspen (Persero) fictitious investment. This is because retired state civil servants (ASN) are victims because they cannot enjoy their rights in old age.

This was conveyed by the acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu when handing over Rp833 billion to PT Taspen (Persero) today, November 20.

"KPK views that corruption in pension funds is one of the most sad crimes because the victims are a group of people who have served the State Civil Apparatus for decades," Asep said in his remarks at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, November 20.

Asep explained that retired ASN should have their rights after serving decades. The money is also usually expected to continue living in old age.

"As I explained earlier, I don't go far, I want to give an example when my parents retire and my parents work in a sub-district far away, in the interior. This money is so valuable that it can be used to return to business capital," he said.

"And this is very helpful. Well, when this corruption occurs, it is certainly very sad. Thank God, today we can return the money from our brothers and sisters," continued Asep, who also serves as Director of KPK Investigations.

The KPK currently has only deposited IDR 833 billion to PT Taspen (Persero). This money was confiscated from the former President Director of PT Insight Investments Management (IIM), Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto.

Then it was also handed over to Taspen in the form of six units of securities which had been transferred on November 17, 2025 to the state-owned company's securities account.

This submission is a follow-up to the decision of the Central Jakarta District Court Corruption Court which has permanent legal force. The decision stipulates evidence in the form of the National Insight Fund Participation Unit for the Balanced Fund 2 (I-Next G2) which has been sold.

"After a series of asset recovery processes by the KPK from the Taspen case, today the KPK will hand over to PT Taspen Persero for the resale of assets that have been confiscated," he said.

Meanwhile, Ronny Hanityo Apinro as President Director of PT Taspen (Persero) appreciated the refunds made by the KPK.

"Hopefully we can manage this asset optimally, it can return to Rp1 trillion in the not long term," he said.

"And the most important thing is that this time the KPK has strengthened the trust of Taspen participants, namely retirees and all ASN who will enter retirement age."
