The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has opened its voice regarding the delegation of cases of alleged corruption in the procurement of crude oil by Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. (Petral) from the institution to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"For now, we are waiting for official policies. In principle, the Prosecutor's Office and the KPK, as fellow law enforcement officers (APH), we communicate with each other, coordinate and support each other for synergy and more importantly law enforcement against the handling of the Petral case goes according to applicable regulations," said Head of the AGO's Office, Anang Supriatna, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 19.
He said the most important thing was that the parties involved in this case were processed and held criminal liability and APH was trying to recover state financial losses due to this case.
"More importantly, in the future governance at Pertamina must run well, professionally, cleanly, transparently, and usefully for the people," he added.
As for this case, Anang said that investigators from the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) had examined a number of witnesses and confiscated a number of evidences from the search.

Previously, the KPK said the AGO had delegated the handling of the alleged corruption case in the procurement of crude oil by Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. (Petral) or PT Pertamina Energy Services Pte. Ltd (PES) to the anti-corruption agency.
"Karena tahu bahwa KPK sudah menerbitkan surat perintah penyidikan, sudah melakukan pemeriksaan-pemeriksaan, maka penanganannya dari Kejaksaan dilimpahkan," ujar Ketua KPK Setyo Budiyanto.
Setyo explained that when the KPK gets a case handling file from the AGO, coordination will be carried out between the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK and the Director of AGO Investigations will be carried out.
"To make sure which tempus (time, ed.), whether it wants to be widened, or maybe the tempus remains like a sprindik (investigation warrant, ed.) general that we are currently making," he said.
Therefore, Setyo said the KPK would continue to coordinate with the AGO regarding the handling of the case.
