JAKARTA - A boy with the initials AH (14), a junior high school student, was swept away by the current of the Sindang Kresek River, Cikijang Street, RW 011, Koja District, North Jakarta on Tuesday, November 18, afternoon.

The victim's body had appeared and drowned during the swift water in the Kresek River dragged his body.

The residents managed to find out about the incident, so residents tried to ask for help by shouting.

Luckily, the incident was discovered by a member of the Bhabinkamtibmas Rawa Badak Utara Polsek Koja, Aipda Elly Ependi who was not far from the scene.

The police officer immediately jumped into the Lagoa Kresek River while swimming towards the child drowning. The victim was rescued when the police managed to reach his body.

The victim was then taken to the side of the river and raised to the streets. Then the victim AH was taken to Koja Hospital for his health check.

Koja Police Chief, Commissioner Andry Suharto confirmed the incident. The victim has now returned home after being treated at the hospital.
