East Jakarta PPA Investigate Case Of Mother Throwing Baby In Cipayung

JAKARTA - The PPA Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim is still conducting an investigation regarding the discovery of a baby girl alive in a pile of garbage, Jalan Kramat Oyar, RT 06/04, Setu Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta.

"We are still looking for CCTV footage around the scene to identify the perpetrators of the baby disposal," said East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Head, AKP Sri Yatmini when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 17.

Currently, the innocent baby is still being treated intensively at the Cipayung District Health Center. The baby is in good health.

"We are still treating the baby in the hospital for his health recovery. Thank God, the baby is healthy today. We are still providing the best health services," he said.

Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Metro Police and Cipayung Police have conducted a crime scene investigation regarding the discovery of the baby.

Cipayung Police Chief, Kompol Tobing confirmed, the baby is a female.

"The perpetrator is still being investigated, it has not been identified. We have transferred the case to the East Jakarta Police PPA Unit," added Kompol Tobing to VOI.

Allegedly, the baby was the result of an irresponsible young couple's illicit relationship, so they had the heart to throw it away.

Previously, the discovery of the live baby was found by residents of Jalan Kramat Oyar RT 06/04, Setu Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta on Sunday, November 16.

Head of RT 06 Setu Village, Salam said, when it was first discovered, the baby was still alive and wrapped in a blanket. In addition, there is a umbilical cord attached to the baby's stomach. The discovery occurred when residents and PPSU were carrying out community service actions.

"When we found it, the baby was still alive in the goodie bag," said Salam.
