The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, explained that the condition of the explosion of SMAN 72 Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, had been conscious after the operation of the injuries caused by the explosion. However, the perpetrators still cannot be questioned by the police.

Budi emphasized that the alleged perpetrator of the Child Conflict with Law (ABH) is still recovering at the Police Hospital (Rs), Keramat Jati, East Jakarta.

"ABH's condition is conscious, but he still cannot be asked for information because he is still recovering," he said when contacted by the media, Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Budi revealed that Polda Metro Jaya investigators are also still examining the 46 school students. This coincides with psychological observations from the Forensic Psychology Association (Apsifor) team.

"The examination of child witnesses is carried out in parallel with observations from Apsifor. The witness with the status of a student at the school is called a child witness," said Budi.

Previously, the perpetrators of the explosion at SMA Negeri 72 North Jakarta were designated as children in conflict with the law (ABH). The perpetrator was charged with illegal acts committed on Friday, November 7, 2025, during Friday prayers in the school environment.

According to Iman, the conclusion was obtained after investigators conducted an in-depth examination by digging up the statements of a number of witnesses, analyzing evidence, and identifying in the field through scientific investigations with a team from the National Police Forensic Laboratory (Labfor), Densus 88, and Brimob.

"From some of the witness statements we obtained, as well as the results of the analysis of the National Police Labfor, there were allegations of unlawful acts that violated legal norms," said Iman

The perpetrator, who is known to be an active student at the school, was charged with Article 80 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 76C of the Child Protection Law, Article 355 of the Criminal Code, Article 187 of the Criminal Code, and Article 1 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia.
