Suyudi Calls The Destruction Of 69 Tons Of Marijuana In Aceh Evidence Supporting Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo

JAKARTA - The National Narokita Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BNN RI) destroyed about 69 tons of marijuana from the discovery of a 6.5 hectare marijuana field in North Aceh, Aceh. Head of BNN Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto emphasized that the destruction of the marijuana field found was a form of commitment realized through various efforts in the field.

According to him, BNN continues to encourage active community participation in supporting the Indonesia Bersinar (Drug Clean) program as a commitment to Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto in dealing with drugs.

"In this activity, the BNN team managed to find six marijuana field points in Teupin Rusep Village, Sawang District, North Aceh Regency, as a result of investigations and mapping areas prone to narcotics trafficking in Aceh," said Komjen Suyudi in a written statement, Thursday 6 November 2025.

Based on the results of field identification, the six field points have a total area of about 6.5 hectares, with an estimated number of cannabis plants reaching 97,000 stems and a total wet weight of about 69 tons. The location of the discovery is as follows:

The first point is located at an altitude of 301 MDPL, with a total land area of 0.5 hectares. There are 7,000 tree trunks as high as 50 cm, with an estimated wet weight of approximately 1.5 tons (1,500 kg).

Then, the second point is located at an altitude of 266 MDPL, with a total land area of 1.5 hectares. There are 20,000 trees as high as 100-250 cm, with an estimated wet weight of up to 10:20 tons (20,000 kg).

At the third point, 5 heights of 262 MDPLs, with a total land area of 1.1 hectares. There are 10,000 trees as high as 100-150 cm, with an estimated wet weight of 5 tons (5,000 kg).

The fourth point is located at an altitude of 256 MDPL, with a total land area of 1.5 hectares. There are 100,050,000 tree trunks as high as 200-300 cm, with an estimated wet weight of up to 0.20 tons (20,000 kg).

Fifth, at an altitude of 269 MDPL, with a total area of 1.4 hectares. There are 25,000 trees as high as 200-300 cm, with an estimated wet weight of up to 20 tons (20,000 kg).

Finally, at the sixth point, it is located at an altitude of 194 MDPL, with a total land area of 0.5 hectares. There are 5,000 trees as high as 100-250 cm, with an estimated wet weight of 2.5 tons (2500 kg).

Suyudi emphasized that this destruction was carried out directly at the location of the discovery by involving 151 personnel from the Joint Team consisting of the Central BNN, BNN City of Lhokseumawe, TNI, Polri, Satpol PP, Aceh District Attorney, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Agriculture Service, and Forestry Service.

"All of these enforcement activities are implementations of Article 92 paragraph (1) and (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, which requires the destruction of narcotics plants found in Indonesian territory," he explained.

According to him, the Teupin Rusep area in North Aceh is one of the locations for the Grand Design Alternative Development (GDAD) program pilot project initiated by BNN.

Apart from Aceh Besar, Bireuen, and Gayo Lues, the discovery of marijuana land in this area has become a special concern for BNN to strengthen the Alternative Development program more intensively, through skills training (life skills) and assistance so that people can switch from growing marijuana to agricultural commodities that are legal, productive, and economic-valued.

"With the spirit of War on Drugs for Humanity, BNN is committed to continuing to mobilize active participation from all levels of society in supporting the Indonesia Bersinar program," he said again.

Soutudi appealed to the public to always increase vigilance and dare to report any indications of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking.

"One report submitted is a tangible manifestation of concern in saving the nation's generation," he said.*
