Two Ecstasy Dealers In South Jakarta Arrested, 1,166 Pieces Of Evidence Confiscated By Police

The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police arrested two men with the initials I and R in connection with the case of the circulation of ecstasy. From the hands of the two, the police confiscated a total of 1,166 ecstasy pills ready for distribution.

The arrests were made by Unit 4 Sub-Directorate 3 of the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate, on Wednesday, November 5, at around 20.30 WIB in the Menteng Dalam area, South Jakarta.

"We managed to secure the suspects with the initials I and R in the Menteng Dalam area, South Jakarta, with evidence of ecstasy as many as 1,166 pills," said Kanit 4 Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya AKP Rumangga, in his statement, Thursday 6 November.

Rumangga explained that the disclosure began with public information regarding the alleged drug trafficking in South Jakarta.

"Following up on the report, the team conducted investigations and reconnaissance until they finally secured the two perpetrators," he said.

According to him, the evidence of ecstasy is planned to be circulated in the Jakarta area by the perpetrators.

"The ecstasy is planned to be circulated in Jakarta and its surroundings," he said.

Rumangga said, from the results of the arrests, his party confiscated a number of other pieces of evidence, including two mobile phones, two digital scales, an empty plastic clip, and a gray lock bag containing clear plastics containing pink ecstasy pills.
