KENDAL - State Islamic University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang confirmed that one student had not been found after being swept away by the current of the Genting River, Kendal Regency, Central Java.

Deputy Chancellor for Academics and Institutions UIN Walisongo, Prof. Mukhsin Jamil said, previously there were three students who were still being searched. Two of them have been found by the joint SAR team on Wednesday morning, namely Bima Pranawira and Muhammad Jibril Asyarafi.

Previously, six UIN Walisongo students who were undergoing the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program were swept away while playing in the Genting River, Getas Village, Singorojo District, Kendal, Tuesday at around 13.53 WIB.

Three students were found dead, namely M. Labib Rizqi (21) from Pekalongan, Syifa Nadila (21) from Pemalang, and Riska Amelia (21) from Pemalang, Central Java.

With the discovery of two other students, now only one student has not been found, namely Nabila Yulian Desi (21) from Bojonegoro, East Java. Mukhsin expressed his deep sorrow for the disaster.
