Riau OTT Expos Completed Held, KPK Will Consult Tomorrow Announce Suspects

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has determined the fate of the parties arrested in a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Riau Province on Monday, November 3. The case title or exposure has been held at the leadership level and the suspect has been determined.

"We have already exposed the leadership level and have determined the responsible parties and are suspects in this case. However, how many have been named as suspects and who will be presented tomorrow in a press conference," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 4 evening.

Budi said the press conference would only be held tomorrow because there were still parties being investigated. They are Dani M. Nursala as an expert on governor and Tata Maulana who is a private party as well as a confidant of Riau Governor Abdul Wahid.

Meanwhile, Abdul Wahid was also one of the parties who was also taken and questioned at the KPK's Merah Putih building.

"Therefore, currently the investigation of the 10 people is still ongoing," he said.

Budi also revealed that there was evidence that had been secured in this silent operation. "Among them are a sum of rupiah, US dollars and also a total if converted into around Rp. 1.6 billion," he said.

"The money is suspected to be part of some of the handovers to the regional head," he continued.

As previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Riau Province on Monday, November 3. There were 10 people who were arrested at that time and there was Rp1 billion in rupiah denominations, US dollars to Poundsterling.

Later, nine people were brought by the KPK to undergo examination. However, it has not been detailed about the transaction that led to the silent operation or the suspect who was named.

Usually, the KPK will officially submit information through a press conference.
