JAKARTA - Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafiz Nofal revealed that the plan proposed by US President Donald Trump to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip is currently going according to plan.

Nofal stressed that at this time the most important thing for Gaza was to defend the ceasefire.
He said the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas had entered the second phase and was considered full of challenges due to the involvement of international organizations, accompanied by issues related to the dismantling of Hamas weapons.
The second phase of the ceasefire was also considered very fragile because the Israeli spirit of violating the agreement was in sight.
"There has been a violation by Israel, we are aware of that. However, the worst result is that the war continues," he said.
In the context of the conflict-solving process in Gaza, Nofal also highlighted the importance of the three main principles that Israel and Hamas were supposed to pursue. "End the war, free the hostages, and ensure the Israeli army withdraws from Gaza," he stressed.
On October 9, Israel and Hamas, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, agreed to carry out the first phase of the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump. Based on the plan, the ceasefire in Gaza took effect on October 10.
