PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) has temporarily suspended the Microtrans service for the Jak41 (Pulogadung Kampung Melayu) route after an action by a number of regular M02 transport drivers in the Jalan Persahabatan Raya area, East Jakarta.
This incident occurred since Saturday, November 1, at around 15:47 WIB. As a result, the public service, which has only been operating in the last few months, has not been able to serve customers until Sunday, November 2.
Head of the Transjakarta Public Relations and CSR Department, Ayu Wardhani, explained that the termination of services was taken to maintain the safety of passengers and officers in the field.
"Transjakarta apologizes for the cessation of the operation of the Jak41 Microtrans service Route (Pulogadung) which occurred since last Saturday, at 15:47 WIB. This decision was taken to maintain the safety of customers and officers," said Ayu in a written statement, Sunday, November 2.
Ayu said that Transjakarta officers together with security forces and related agencies are still at the location to mediate with the angkot driver. The goal is to find the best solution so that the service can be restored immediately.
"Currently, Transjakarta officers, supported by security forces and related agencies, continue to coordinate and mediate at the location to find the best solution," he explained.
Transjakarta has also reported this incident to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service (Dishub) for further direction and assistance for handling.
The transportation company owned by the DKI Provincial Government has confirmed that it will try to restore the Jak41 route service as soon as possible. However, until now there is no certainty when the Microtrans fleet will resume operations.
"Transjakarta continues to coordinate with various parties and is committed to restoring services, so that Jak41 Route services can immediately reopen and serve customers normally," concluded Ayu.
