DPRD Approves Rules For Online Taxi Drivers Must Have Bali ID Card Cards

DENPASAR - The rules for online or taksol taxi drivers operating on the island of Bali, must have a Bali ID card and also have a DK or Bali number plate, agreed by the Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the Bali Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD).

Furthermore, the draft was submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to be stipulated as a regional regulation (Perda).

The agreement was taken at a plenary meeting with the agenda of determining the Draft Regional Regulation (RAPD), regarding the implementation of application-based tourism special rental services (ASK) in Bali to become a regional regulation, Tuesday, October 28.

Chairman of Commission III of the Bali Provincial DPRD, I Nyoman Suyasa, read out the agreement in the ASK Regional Regulation.

He said, to guarantee these rights, there are several things of rational aspirations that deserve to be accommodated and become the basis for strengthening materials and to be an important emphasis on the preparation of the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on the implementation of special tourism transportation services based on applications in Bali Province.

He said, the legal drafting of the preparation of the Bali Provincial Raperda, regarding the implementation of application-based tourism special rental services in Bali Province, refers to Law, number 12, 2011 concerning the establishment of laws and regulations.

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Bali I Nyoman Giri Prasta said that regarding the Raperda, it would be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to be ratified as a Regional Regulation immediately. If later approved by the central government, the regulation must be followed.

"Later (online taxi drivers) must follow the provisions of this regional regulation, when it has been passed it is promulgated as a Balinese regional regulation, we must meet and follow together," he said.

He conveyed that the principle is how when there is a job opportunity it can provide facilities to people in Bali itself.

"But this has entered into the discussion area which is carried out between the executive and the legislature, even friends in the driver are also escorting it. Now this is what we will bring to the center for the publication of forum drivers in Bali," he said.

"So that the order can run, even this application will be made and there are not many applications, so they are really recorded," he continued.

If the regulation has been ratified by the central government, of course, it will later be disseminated to the applicator.
