2 KPK Detainees In Corruption Case At The Koltim Hospital Undergo Mapenaling At The Kendari Detention Center

JAKARTA - Two detainees from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of East Kolaka Regency (Koltim) were entrusted to the Kendari Class IIA Detention Center (Rutan), Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

Assistant for Intelligence (Asintel) of the Southeast Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Muh Ilham said the two KPK detainees who were placed in the Kendari detention center had the initials DK and AR.

Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Section for Management of Class IIA Kendari Prison, Laode Mustakim, said that the two KPK detainees are currently being registered at the Kendari Detention Center.

"The two detainees are being registered," said Laode Mustakim in Kendari, Monday, as reported by Antara.

Confirmed separately, Kendari Class IIA Rutan Kepal Rikie Umbaran also said that later the two KPK detainees would first undergo an environmental introduction period (mapenaling) for two weeks.

"While it is still being reigsted, after that it will be placed in Mapenaling for a maximum of two weeks (weeks)," said Rikie.

He explained that after two weeks in Mapenaling, if they were still deposited in the Kendari, DK and AR detention centers, they would immediately be put into the detention block.

"There are block prisoners and block prisoners," he explained.

Rikie revealed that his party did not know about the period of detention of the two suspects at the Kendari Detention Center, because this was the authority of the Prosecutor's Office to inform them.

Suspects DK and AR are private parties involved in a bribery case related to the construction project of the East Kolaka Hospital which also ensnared East Kolaka Regent Abdul Azis and a number of other officials.

DK was charged with committing a criminal act as regulated in Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code (KUHP); or second, Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, AR was charged with a similar article, namely first, Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code; or second, Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Juncto Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
