Trans7 Reported To Polda Metro With Articles Of The ITE Law

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that Trans7 was reported in connection with the 'Xpose Uncensored' program which was deemed to have violated the ITE Law Article 28 paragraph 2, in conjunction with Article 45A and/or Article 156A of the Criminal Code.

The report was submitted by parties acting on behalf of the Alumni Association and Simpatisan of the Bustanul Ulum Islamic Boarding School (PRABU).

"It is true, brother M came to make a police report on Wednesday (15/10) regarding the alleged criminal incident of anyone who intentionally and without the right to disseminate information aimed at causing hatred or hostility to certain individuals and / or community groups based on ethnicity, religion, and intergroup (SARA)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Brigadier General Ade Ary Syam Indradi as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 16.

The reported party is still in the investigation stage, while the incident reported was on Monday (13/10) through a program with the initials XU, broadcasting a broadcast containing the contents of insults and slander against students, kiai, and Islamic boarding schools.

"For this incident, the victim felt that he had been harmed. Then the reporter came to the SPKT Polda Metro Jaya to make a report," he said.

Ade Ary explained that currently this reported incident is being investigated by the Directorate of Cyber Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya.

"The report was only received on October 15 yesterday. Please take time, further investigation will be carried out and will be handled according to the applicable SOP. We will handle it procedurally and professionally," said Ade Ary.

The report was received by the Integrated Police Service Center (Polda Metro Jaya) on Wednesday (15/10) night with the number LP/B/7387/X/2025/SPKT/Polda Metro Jaya.

Diketahui, melalui program Xpose Uncensored, Trans7 membayangkan video yang menampilkan para santri dan jamaah sedang melamami kiai yang sedang duduk. Ada pula potongan video yang menampilkan seorang kiai yang sedang dari mobil.

The voice narration from the video states that the students are willing to snatch for the sake of posing and giving the envelope to the kiai.

Menurut kawasan, kiai yang sudah kaya seharusnya yang memberikan amplop kepada santri. Footilkan tayang program tersebut mendapatkan reaksi keras dari beragam pihak. Para netizen lantas menyerang boikot kepada Trans7.
