JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of information and communication technology (ICT) devices in the form of a chromebook laptop at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) for the 2019-2022 period, Nadiem Makarim, expressed his belief that the truth would be revealed.
He made this statement after undergoing an examination for approximately ten hours by the investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General's Office (AGO).
"Alhamdulillah, today's inspection went smoothly. I am sure that in the near future the truth will be revealed," said Nadiem at the Jampidsus AGO Building, Jakarta, on Tuesday, October 14.
The former minister of education, culture, research and technology also asked for prayers and support from the community.
"I thank you. Please pray and support," he added.
On the same day, Nadiem was questioned as a suspect after his pretrial application was rejected by the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (13/10/2025).
Nadiem arrived at the Jampidsus AGO building at around 11.34 WIB wearing a dark blue shirt and handcuffed hands. After about ten hours of examination, he left the building at 22.02 WIB.
When reporters asked about the examination material, Nadiem chose not to comment and immediately entered the prisoner's car.
