Breast Robbery In Cirebon, Police Investigate CCTV Footage Of Incident Location

The Cirebon City Resort Police (Polres) is investigating a case of alleged abuse against a woman who was a victim of breast robbery in the street area of Karyamulya Village in Cirebon City.

The Head of Cirebon City Police, AKBP Eko Iskandar, said that his party had dispatched a team to identify and pursue the perpetrators whose actions were recorded in a 17-second video.

He explained that the investigation was carried out by tracing CCTV camera footage around the scene, and asking for information from a number of witnesses who knew about the incident.

"We have secured CCTV footage, then asked for statements from a number of witnesses. The perpetrator is currently still being chased," he said, confiscated by Antara.

Eko said this incident emerged after the video recording was spread, then it went viral on social media.

He also appealed to the public not to re-spread the video on social media, to protect the privacy of victims and facilitate the investigation process.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cirebon City Police Satreskrim, AKP Adam Gana, said that the breast robbery took place on Saturday, October 12, at around 16.56 WIB in Karyamulya Village, Kesambi District, Cirebon City.

From the results of the interim examination, he said, the victim was a student who at the time of the incident was walking alone on the side of the road before being approached by the perpetrator.

According to him, from CCTV footage, the perpetrator was found to be wearing a white motorbike and wearing a jacket and helmet when launching the action.

After that, he said the perpetrator was seen slowing down his vehicle, then reaching the victim's body before fleeing the location.

"The victim is a student who was walking alone at the time of the incident. Then the perpetrator came to launch the action," he said.

His party ensures that they follow up on this case seriously, to provide justice for victims.

"The footage is now used as one of the main pieces of evidence to reveal the identity of the perpetrator," he said.
