Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday, October 11, said that the identification process was carried out in stages since the evacuation of victims began at the beginning of last week.
"The identification data as of Friday, October 10, as many as 50 bodies have been identified," he said, quoted by Antara.
However, he said that the DVI team still had the task of processing 11 other bodies, including five pieces of the victim's body that were found by the joint SAR team in stages at the scene.
BNPB confirmed that all the bodies that had been identified had been handed back to the family for burial.
