Because He Is Still Caring For Balita, Polda Metro Suspends Detention Of Social Media Activists Figha Lesmana

Polda Metro Jaya has suspended the detention of social media activist Fitha Lesmana (FL), who was previously detained after a demonstration that led to chaos in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building at the end of August 2025.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri said the suspension of detention of Figha was carried out on Friday, October 3 after going through a careful legal study process considering two main aspects, namely humanity and investigation.

"From a human perspective, investigators consider that the person concerned is a mother who has children under five, who still needs attention and care. Therefore, a suspension of detention is granted," Asep said in Jakarta, Thursday, October 9.

Meanwhile, from the aspect of the investigation, Asep emphasized that all information needed by investigators had been obtained. During the examination, Figha was also cooperative and respected all applicable legal procedures.

"The person concerned is committed to fulfilling all obligations set by investigators during the suspension period," he said.

According to Asep, the decision shows the Police's commitment to enforcing the law with a humanist and professional approach, without ignoring the principles of justice and humanity.

Previously, Fitha Lesmana was detained along with a number of activists, including Delpedro Marhaen (Director of Lokataru Foundation), Muzaffar Salim (Lokataru staff), Syahdan Husein (Admin Gejayan Calling), and Khariq Anhar (Admin of the Plaintiff Student Alliance).

Mereka dituding terlibat dalam dugaan penghasutan aksi anarkis pada unjuk rasa di depan Gedung DPR/MPR RI pada 25 Agustus 2025. Polisi menilai para aktivis tersebut menggunakan media sosial untuk menyebarkan ajakan demonstrasi yang berpotensi menimbulkan kerusuhan.
